Bestowed August 1996
Dorothy joined the guild soon after its formation and has been one of those tireless workers you can always rely upon to do a great job. Her attention to detail adds greatly to any occasion with those little niceties never forgotten.
Dorothy has been a constant and great supporter of the guild at branch and state level. Dorothy starting working with the committee from 1985 to 1986 as assistant treasurer, then general committee from 1987 to 1988, again from 2002 to 2007, president from 1989 to 1992, publicity from 1993 to 1996, vice-president from 1996 to 2001, and finally co-opting with committee from 2008 until her death in 2009.
Dorothy demonstrated numerous times at Sydney meetings and a number of other branches throughout the state. Dorothy was always happy to provide assistance at any opportunity, and usually offered before it was asked.
Dorothy was a trained guild cake decorating judge for many years, having judged at regional shows, branch competitions, and a number of times at the Royal Easter Show.
Dorothy passed away in August 2009. She is greatly missed.
